Frequently Asked Questions

All kinesiology sessions at Intrinsic Wellness last for 90 minutes. Some kinesiologists at other practices offer 60 minute sessions, but I feel that I can best support you by taking some extra time to deep-dive into the underlying stresses and emotions behind the issues you'd like to work on. 90 minute sessions mean we can ensure you leave feeling like you've acomplished as much as possible in your session, and that you'll experience lasting change.

The amazing thing about kinesiology is that you never know where a session will take you. You may arrive wanting to work on a sore neck, but you leave with the knowledge that your neck pain is a result of lack of direction in your life. Together, we follow your body's path to understanding the root cause behind pain and stress. For this reason it is impossible to predict how many sessions you may need. However, you will leave every session feeling clearer, lighter and more aligned - how often you choose to come for a session is completely up to you.

We can work on anything your little heart desires. It is great to come to a session with a goal in mind, or something you'd like to release or feel more aligned to. On the other hand, it is also great to come along and let your body guide us via muscle testing to show what the priority issues are. Perhaps you have stress, pain or descions that need to be made in your life - kinesiology will have you feeling clear, purposeful and connected to yourself.

Every kinesiology session starts with a chat about how you are feeling, what you may like to work on, and what things are going on in your life that are causing stress or dis-ease. This gives us a great starting point for the session, and then you will hop onto the massage table (completely clothed), and get comfortable. I create a calm and relaxing environment for you to listen to your body and use this time to tap into your energy systems via muscle testing. I begin with some prechecks to ensure your body is responding to the muscle testing, which involves gentle pressure on a muscle (usually the forearm), to assess the body's responses. Once we know the body is online, we begin to work through what was intially discussed, and finding the root emotional causes behind your stresses or pain. We then clear these emotions from the body's energy systems through a variety of powerful, natural remedies such as flower essences, accupressure points, crystals, essential oils, sound therapy, colour therapy and much more.
